Hello to all those who have homes standing,

When the Cedar Fires swept through Poway, California we felt so helpless. SO, since I am such a lover of Christmas, I proposed a HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE for the Fire Families.

It’s Back!

Last time we were helping 60 families from Poway and Ramona from the
Cedar Fire. This time it is far greater as you know. We will be focusing on families in the
Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Ramona and Julian areas only.

We’ll accept Any Holiday items — this includes any holiday
items for all faiths of any culture.

NO PERISHABLES or NON-Holiday items

When you come, please sign our ‘well wishes’ poster in the Cultural
Hall.

Thank you. Thank you. We talked to Fire Families of the Cedar Fire
and they said their spirits had begun to sag being one month
into their ordeal and looking to what they feared - a bleak holiday
season — this really lifted their spirits.
One found a ’softened’ Santa candle and remarked how that was like one they had. Anotherheld up a box of vintage ornaments (you know what I mean by vintage)
and hugged them because they were just like the ones their
grandparents have handed down.

There were many tender tears shed and it was a bright day for each of them.

Non-holiday items can be dropped off at the Deseret Industries Trailer on north side of this building.
