UPDATED: From the Mall to You: Brand New!

Update:

The corner where the church is located, which is right off the I-15 freeway at the Felicita exit, should have been labeled as the intersection of Felicita Road and Citracado Parkway, rather than Citrus Avenue.

A distribution of BRAND NEW - TAGS STILL ON clothing will occur for the fire families. If you have BRAND NEW - TAGS STILL ON clothing to donate, see the following message:

A MESSAGE FOR THE MANY GENEROUS SUPPORTERS OF THE WITCH CREEK FIRE RECOVERY PROCESS: As you all know, many families lost all of their clothing due to the Witch Creek Fire. Now, there is another wonderful opportunity ahead to assist them with their recovery process:

A generous allotment of BRAND NEW CLOTHING has been received from a major department store, and will be made available without charge to the Witch Creek fire survivors on SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 2008, from 9:30 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. at the Escondido South Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The event is being called: “FROM THE MALL TO YOU: BRAND NEW!” and is intended to lift the spirits of those families who lost so much.

Sponsors of the event are the RB United, “rebuilding RB together” and Rebuild Escondido organizations. All work is being accomplished by volunteers. Any clothing not distributed at this event will be donated to other recognized charitable organizations.

At this time there is a need for additional new (tags on!) clothing items, to be contributed to supplement the current donation. Lacking are sufficient clothes for children and men, and cold weather clothes for women.

Any donation will be appreciated! Individuals may bring items to donate ON FRIDAY, JAN. 4TH, BETWEEN 1 - 5 P.M. TO:

THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
ESCONDIDO SOUTH STAKE CENTER
2255 FELICITA RD.
ESCONDIDO, CA 92029

DIRECTIONS: West of the 15 Freeway at the FELICITA RD. OFF-RAMP, on the SW corner where CITRUS AVE. and FELICITA RD. intersect

I hope that at this event there will be a limited number control. Some tend to take more than they need. Will there be a number each person can take?

I work at the Poway Target and Kelly, who also works there, recommanded that I call you. Since she gave me your ph# on a scratch paper while we were working, I lost it. You called my house but I thought you were the volunteers that were coming on Sat. Yes, we do need help. We have to borrow water from the neighbors (we have a well) and my husband works as an extra in the movies and the writers are on strike and he hasn’t worked for a month & a half. I’d really appreaciate the help. Thank you, Dania Molthen 760-315-6995 danmolth@aol.com
